Inspired by Augusto de Campos' concrete poetry, its syntactic-semantic simplicity and visual-verbal strength, BijaRi created the “LUXURY” sculpture made from recycled garbage. The sculpture, which took part in the “Sustainable Planet” exhibit, materializes the univocal relation between the production of LUXO and LIXO (Portuguese words for “luxury” and "garbage", respectively). The installation was placed right beside the lake at Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo, as a part of the series entitled “The Poetry of Concrete Problems”.
