In 2007, inspired by the classic concrete poem by Augusto de Campos, we created a sculpture that reflected the relationship between LUXO (luxury) and LIXO (garbage). We built the word LUXO using bits and pieces of recycled LIXO.The design of the poster appropriated an image of this sculpture thus creating two additional layers: a digital pattern from the types of the words” LUXO” and “LIXO” and the second being an insertion of a multiple choice survey on the theme of sustainability. The project resulted from the invitation of the curator Rico Lins to attend the Brazilian Design Biennial 2010, to create a poster with the theme of sustainability.
